Development & Marketing Director

Job Description

Qualifications:
•Four year degree preferred
•Two years or more of experience working in non-profit fundraising/marketing/special event roles
•Fundraising experience including annual giving, online giving, grant writing & major gifts
•Excellent written and verbal communication
•Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or Canva preferred.
•Familiar with data management and systems such as Salesforce and MailChimp
•Branding, social media engagement, and content management experience preferred
•Team player with ability to build relationships with funders, volunteers, participants, colleagues
•A self-starter who is professional and flexible
•An individual with a passion to serve Hand-in-Hand’s families and promote our mission
•Ability to lift 25 pounds on frequent basis. Ability to transport self, with access to automobile.

Responsibilities:
•Direct Hand-in-Hand’s current special events and promote their growth
•Plan and execute a family resource fair each spring
•Guide staff, interns, and volunteers in marketing efforts that interconnect with fundraising efforts
•Manage Hand-in-Hand’s social media, website, e-newsletters, and overall marketing plan
•Oversee management of Hand-in-Hand’s data base
•Design brand items such as flyers, brochures, or social media graphics
•Lead in creation & management of Development Plan, including annual giving, United Way
•Collaborate with CEO in managing/writing grant requests, prospect development, and major gifts
•Gather and track data to evaluate our fundraising and marketing progress
•Support Hand-in-Hand programs and serve as a member of the Leadership Team
•Identify, cultivate, and secure commitments for volunteers, new supporters of Hand-in-Hand
•Share information to help children/families of all abilities, with a major focus on disability issues and awareness. Research and plan blog posts to create engaging content for website
•Promote positive image in community, with local media, related agencies and area schools
•Requires time in office, knowing programs and with individuals & groups in the community
•Support enrollment and retention efforts for all Hand-in-Hand programs
•Attend AFP trainings, researching latest trends. Familiarity with AFP Code of Ethics.
